Details:
On or about Saturday, December 4th, 2021, around 4:48 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 36-year-old man. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the APD said 36-year-old Marcus Sierra was killed when he was allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross I-35. Emergency responders pronounced Sierra dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Austin.
Police are still investigating.
