Details:
On or about Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, around 6:15 in the evening, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one woman dead and sent seven other individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 87 in O’Donnell, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 36-year-old Margarito Martinez Flores was killed, while Fernando Martinez, Juan Guzman, Antonio Cueva, Heraminia Ortiz, Raul Flores, and two teens were injured when the SUV they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that was attempting to turn onto Highway 87. Paramedics pronounced Margarito Martinez Flores dead after the accident, while the other seven people were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at or near the intersection of Ninth Street.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
