Details:
On or about Friday, January 21st, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle accident left a 21-year-old woman dead. Officers from the EPPD said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near the exchange with Lee Trevino Drive in El Paso, Texas.
Investigators said 21-year-old Marialexis Juana Calderon was killed when the car she was in crashed under unspecified circumstances along the eastbound side of I-10. Calderon was pronounced dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Law enforcement officials said the crash barrier may have speared into the vehicle.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northeast side of El Paso.
Police are still investigating.
