Details:
On or about Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 near the exchange with Southcross Boulevard in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the SAPD said 30-year-old Mariano Lugo was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a Honda Accord that ran a red light at Southcross and the I-35 service road. After the initial accident, the Accord fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Lugo dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of San Antonio.
