On or about Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 67-year-old man and a 37-year-old man dead. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 13 and Chowen Avenue in Burnsville, Minnesota.
Law enforcement representatives said 67-year-old Mario Padilla and 37-year-old Alejandro Guadalupe were killed when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while they were turning at the intersection of Chowen Avenue and Highway 13. Emergency responders pronounced Guadalupe and Padilla dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated a short distance south of downtown Minneapolis.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
