On or about Saturday, June 12th, 2021, around 4:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the lives of two people. Troopers from the GSP said the accident was reported along Highway 111 just outside Thomasville in Grady County, Georgia.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said Marion Smith and Michael Keith Jackson were killed when a car and a tractor-trailer collided after one of them may have veered over the center line of the roadway. Paramedics pronounced Smith and Jackson dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 111 runs north and south through Grady County, which is seated on the Florida state line, about 33 miles north of Tallahassee.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
