Details:
On or about Saturday, November 6th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 58-year-old Little Falls man. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 494 in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Troopers from the Minnesota State Patrol said 58-year-old Mark Batters was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 494 and rolled into a ditch a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Batters dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 494 winds north and south through Eden Prairie, which is about 17 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
