On or about Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, around 12:00 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle log truck accident sent a 52-year-old man to the hospital. Sheriff’s Deputies said the accident happened on County Divide Road in San Augustine County, Texas.
Investigators said 52-year-old Mark Jones was injured when the log truck he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the road and rolled for unknown reasons. Paramedics airlifted Jones to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries. No other vehicles or injuries were mentioned in the preliminary police statement.
Google Maps shows County Divide Road runs north and south through a very rural area. San Augustine County is situated about 170 miles northeast of Houston.
Texas DPS and local law enforcement are assisting in the investigation.
