On or about Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, around 5:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer rollover accident sent two men to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened along Interstate 70 near mile marker 91 in Effingham County, Illinois.

ISP Trooper ssaid 37-year-old Mark McCottrell and 41-year-old Christopher Lindsey were injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly crashed through a guardrail and rolled in the median of the interstate. Paramedics transported McCottrell and Lindsey to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Looking at Interstate 70 on Google Streetview shows it is four lanes, with a wide, grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic. Effingham County is located about 101 miles northeast of St Louis, Missouri.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the accident to aid in the investigation.
