On or about Friday, December 31st, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a van claimed the life of a 68-year-old man. Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and North Mojave Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Authorities from the LVPD said 68-year-old Martin Katz was killed when his Ford E-350 van was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was attempting a turn at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and North Mojave Road. Paramedics rushed Katz to nearby University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Stewart Avenue and North Mojave Road is a short distance from downtown Las Vegas.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
