On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a cement truck and a passenger vehicle left a 17-year-old girl dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 190 and County Road 3090 in Kempner, Texas.
Texas DPS spokespeople said 17-year-old Maryangela Cheyenne Williams was killed when her car was allegedly struck by a dump truck while she was turning at the intersection of Highway 190 and County Road 3090. Emergency responders pronounced Williams dead of her injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Kempner is about 17 miles west of Killeen.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
