On or about Sunday, May 1st, 2022, around 12:30 in the morning, a serious hit-and-run car accident with a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle sent a 25-year-old man to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 901 in Gordonville, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 25-year-old Matthew Albert was injured when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of FM 901. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed Albert to Texoma Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Womack Street.
Police are still trying to track down the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
