Details:
Matthew Allen Reyes and Jesus Manuel Silva were killed and Jeydan Zane Sanchez-Ayala seriously injured after a high speed chase on Highway 87 near San Angelo, TX. Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety say the accident took place around 9:55 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025.
According to reports, the 2022 Dodge Challenger, driven by Sanchez-Ayala, was racing another vehicle along Highway 87. DPS initiated a traffic stop, and Sanchez-Ayala attempted to flee the scene. As the vehicle approached Wilde Road it struck a guardrail, rolling multiple times until it came to a stop in the median.
Reyes and Silva were pronounced dead at the scene, and Sanchez-Ayala was transported to Shannon Medical Center with serious injuries. Investigation into the accident is ongoing.
