Details:
On or about Friday, September 17th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 28-year-old man dead and sent a 58-year-old truck driver to the hospital. Troopers from the SDSP said the accident occurred at the intersection of 482nd Avenue and 142nd Street juts outside Milbank, South Dakota.
Deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Matthew Blehr was killed when his car was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was passing through the intersection of 482nd Avenue and 142nd Street. Blehr died of his injuries a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as 58-year-old Teresa Virchow, who was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Milbank is about 188 miles west of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Police are still investigating.
