On or about Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between a woman on a Lime Scooter and a tractor-trailer left a Flint, Texas woman dead. Deputies from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Third Avenue near the exchange with Symphony Place in Nashville, Tennessee.

Law enforcement spokespeople said 56-year-old Melinda Faye Lovelady was killed when she allegedly fell while riding a Lime Scooter before she was struck by a tractor-trailer along Third Avenue. Emergency responders pronounced Lovelady dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in connection with the accident.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of Third Avenue and Symphony Place is in downtown Nasvhille.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
