Details:
On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and two tractor-trailers sent a 29-year-old man to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the West Loop (Interstate 610) in Bellaire, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 29-year-old Michael Anthony Reyes was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly made an unsafe lane change and struck Reyes’ Mitsubishi Outlander, pushing the SUV into a nearby barrier before it spun into the path of another tractor-trailer. Emergency responders transported Reyes to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. The tractor-trailer that allegedly made the unsafe lane change fled the scene following the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 610 runs north and south through the center of Bellaire, which is about 8 miles southwest of downtown Houston.
Investigators are still looking for the tractor-trailer that fled the scene of the crash.
