Details:
On or about October 1st, 2020, around 3:39 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a dump truck sent one person to the hospital. The accident took place at the intersection of Bryan Road and FM 2218 in Rosenberg, Texas.
Deputies from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department said that Michael Erias was injured when the car he was driving was hit by a dump truck on FM 2218 that allegedly failed to yield at the intersection. Erias’ car rolled following the initial collision with the truck. EMS transported Erias to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The 57-year-old driver of the truck was cited for failure to yield and driving without insurance following the crash.
An examination of the police report shows that both Byran Road and FM 2218 are three lanes, with an intersection protected by a stoplight. Rosenberg is located roughly 38 miles southeast of Houston.
Both state and local law enforcement assisted at the scene of the accident.
