Details:
On or about Saturday, December 4th, 2021, in the early morning hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 21-year-old Greenville man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 30 just outside Greenville in Hunt County, Texas.
Police officers from the area said 21-year-old Michael Gonzales was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 30. Emergency responders pronounced Gonzales dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who police did not name, was unhurt in the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 cuts east and west directly through the center of Greenville, which is located about 51 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
