Details:
On or about Thursday, February 4th, 2021, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a car left a 55-year-old man dead. Authorities said the accident happened on the northbound side of State Route 13 in East Homer, New York.
Troopers from the New York State Police said 55-year-old Michael Knickerbocker was killed when his car allegedly collided with a box truck that was parked and making deliveries. Paramedics rushed Knickerbocker to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Google Streetview shows Route 13 is two lanes that cut north and south through East Homer, which is about 28 miles south of Syracuse.
State Troopers are assisting in the accident investigation.
