Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, around 10:30 at night, a major single-vehicle car accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old man. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Delaware Street and North 10th Street in Beaumont, Texas.
Authorities said 60-year-old Michael Lowe was killed when the vehicle he was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and crashed into a utility pole a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Lowe dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the crash. Police did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Delaware Street and North 10th Street is on the north side of Beaumont.
Officials are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
