On or about Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle dump truck accident left a 68-year-old man dead. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 95 in Dyer Brook, Maine.
Officials from the Maine State Police said 68-year-old Michael Marshall was killed when the dump truck he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the road and crashed after sustaining a tire blowout. Emergency responders pronounced Marshall dead of his injuries a short time after the crash. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 runs north and south through Dyer Brook, which is about 228 miles north of Portland.
Police hope to release more information when it becomes available.
