Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, around 11:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left two men dead. Authorities from the ASP said the accident was reported along Interstate 22 in Walker County, Alabama.
Officials from the Alabama State Police said 68-year-old Michael McCaleb and 32-year-old Cody Taylor were killed when the tractor-trailer Taylor was driving allegedly struck McCaleb’s SUV along I-22. Emergency responders pronounced McCaleb dead at the scene, while Taylor was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 22 cuts east and west into Walker County.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the accident to assist.
