Details:
On or about Friday, October 15th, 2021, around 3:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 41-year-old man dead. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported at the Interstate 475 split with Interstate 75 in Toledo, Ohio.
Authorities said 41-year-old Michael McCarter was killed when a tractor-trailer driven by Hakim Niazi allegedly crossed over the center median and struck McCarter’s car. Emergency responders cut McCarter from the wreckage and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Niazi was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the Interstate 475/75 split is situated on the west side of Toledo.
Police are still investigating the accident.
