Details:
On or about Monday, July 12th, 2021, around 9:15 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 70-yer-old man dead. Representatives from the OSP said the accident was reported in the 3200 block of Tremont Avenue in North Bend, Oregon.
Oregon State Police officials said 70-year-old Michael Petrie was killed when he was struck by a tractor-trailer while he was walking down or attempting to cross the lanes of Tremont Avenue. Paramedics rushed Petrie to nearby Bay Area Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Officers did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Tremont Avenue runs north and south through North Bend, which is about 281 miles southeast of Portland.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
