Details:
On or about Monday, January 31st, 2022, around 1:50 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and an SUV left a 68-year-old Vidor man dead. Officials said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 just outside Royse City in Rockwall County, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers said 68-year-old Michael Thomas was killed when the motorcycle he was driving allegedly struck the back of a Chevrolet SUV along Interstate 10. Emergency responders pronounced Thomas dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Royse City is about 31 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Authorities are still investigating.
