Details:
On or about Saturday, August 28th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of one person. Troopers from the GPS said the accident was reported along the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Hartley Bridge Road in Macon, Georgia.
Law enforcement representatives said 32-year-old Michelle Fletcher was killed when the car she was riding in allegedly struck the back of a disabled tractor-trailer on the side of Interstate 75 near the exit for Hartley Bridge Road. Fletcher and the driver of the car were rushed to Atrium Health Navicent Hospital where Fletcher died of her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 runs north and south through the area, with the scene of the accident a short distance south of the Interstate 475 split.
