On or about Saturday, May 21st, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left a 22-year-old man dead. Officials from the CHP said the accident was reported along the 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita, California.
Representatives from the California Highway Patrol said 22-year-old Miguel Rivara was killed when the motorcycle he was on and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances along the 5 Freeway. Emergency responders pronounced Rivara dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with the 14 Freeway.
Police are still investigating the accident.
