On or about Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, around 4:20 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent two individuals to the hospital. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 in Cumberland County, Illinois.

Officials from the Indiana State Police said 51-year-old Milton Higgs and 68-year-old Floyd Emerson was injured when the tractor-trailers they were driving collided when one of them allegedly drove over the center line of the roadway and rolled into the path of another 18-wheeler. Paramedics transported both Higgs and Emerson to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east west through Cumberland County.
