Details:
On or about Saturday, April 16th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, a major single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 75 in Conroe, Texas.
Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department said Milton Ray Franklin was killed when the Buick Park Avenue he was driving allegedly drove away from a traffic stop and slammed into a business sign a short distance off the side of Highway 75. Emergency responders cut Franklin from the wreckage and pronounced him dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 39 miles north of downtown Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
