Details:
On or about Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, around 5:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, and an 18-wheeler sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of the Interstate 80/90 Toll Road in Howe, Indiana.
Deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department said 69-year-old Robert Klimek and 33-year-old Mohammad Rahim Azami were injured when a Klimek’s tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of Azami’s tractor-trailer and a dump truck that had stopped or slowed in traffic. Paramedics transported Klimek and Azami to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the Interstate 80/90 Toll Road runs east and west along the northern edge of Howe, which is about 140 miles north of Indianapolis, not far from the Michigan state line.
Police are still investigating the accident.
