On or about Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, around 11:22 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and several passenger vehicles left four people dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 in Gonzales County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety said Mona Nesbitt and an 11-year-old passenger of hers were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of their vehicle and several other cars along I-10. Emergency responders identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Wade Stagle, and his passenger, Christy Hoffer. Emergency responders pronounced Nesbitt, Stagle, Hoffer, and one juvenile dead after the accident. One other child was airlifted to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the eastbound side of Interstate 10.
