On or about Thursday, September 9th, 2021, around 3:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV a woman and two children dead, and sent two other children to the hospital. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 66 in Dunn Loring, Virginia.

Officials from the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Department said an as-of-yet unidentified woman and two children were killed, while two other children were injured when the SUV they were in was allegedly struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer after they had spun out following a collision with a barrier on Interstate 66. Paramedics pronounced the woman and two children dead after the crash, while paramedics transported two other children to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 66 runs east and west through Dunn Loring, which is situated about 12 miles west of downtown Washington DC.
