Shortly before noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, a motorcycle being driven by a 20-year-old man from Anna, TX was travelling north on Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville, FL, near Naval Air Station Jacksonville. A 65-year-old man driving a tractor-trailer in the opposite direction collided with the motorcyclist when he turned left onto 120th Street into the Naval Air Station.
Florida Highway Patrol reported the driver of the motorcycle was travelling at a high rate of speed, and was unable to stop in time, colliding with the tractor-trailer. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.
