On or about Friday, April 1st, 2022, around 9:50 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a Jeep left an 18-year-old boy dead and sent an 18-year-old girl to the hospital. Representatives from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 270 in Malvern, Arkansas.
Officials from the Arkansas State Police said 18-year-old Nathan Charles Butt was killed and 18-year-old Dannielle Marie Lane was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 270 when it struck the Jeep Butt and Lane were in. Emergency responders pronounced Butt dead a short time after the accident, while Lane was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
