On or about Thursday, November 12th, 2020, just before 9:00 in the morning, a twenty-nine vehicle accident involving fifteen tractor-trailers sent nine people to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened on Interstate 94 near Monticello, Minnesota.
State Troopers said nine as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when fourteen cars and fifteen 18-wheelers collided in a chain-reaction accident. Authorities did not clarify how the accident may have started. Paramedics transported nine individuals to area hospitals in order to be treated for their injuries.
Google Streetview shows Interstate 94 as four lanes that run in an east and west direction, with a wide, grassy median dividing the directions of traffic. Monticello is seated about 38 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis.
Police expect to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
