On or about Sunday, May 22nd, 2022, around 1:20 in the morning, a serious hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a police officer on foot sent one person to the hospital. Deputies from the Hale County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Ennis Street in Plainview, Texas.
Local law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified police officer was injured when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle following an altercation at a house party on Ennis Street. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Paramedics transported the police officer to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature.
Police have since identified the alleged driver of the passenger vehicle as 18-year-old Kameron Balderas, who currently faces a number of charged in connection with the incident.
