On or about Friday, March 18th, 2022, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along River Road in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Law enforcement representatives said an as-of-yet unidentified 64-year-old man was injured when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was riding his bike along or across the lanes of River Road. Paramedics transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Piscataway is situated about 27 miles southwest of downtown Newark.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
