On or about Thursday, March 24th,, 2022, a short time after midnight, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a cyclist left one person dead. Law enforcement spokespeople from the area said the accident was reported along Ronald Regan Boulevard in Leander, Texas.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified cyclist was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was riding his bike along or across the lanes of Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from San Gabriel Parkway.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
