Details:
On or about Thursday, December 16th, 2021, around 3:00 in the morning, a major accident between an Amazon tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent one individual to the hospital. Spokespeople from the CHP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 5 in Sacramento, California.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was rushed to the hospital when their car was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer on northbound I-5. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the Kia dead a short time after the collision. The as-of-yet unidentified driver of the tractor-trailer did not report any injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 5 cuts north and south along the western edge of Sacramento.
Officers are still investigating the accident.
