Details:
On or about Monday, September 13th, 2021, around 10:15 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a box truck sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 42 near the intersection with Buffalo Road in Clayton, North Carolina.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the box truck they were driving allegedly struck the back of a dump truck. Emergency responders cut the driver of the box truck from the wreckage and rushed them to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Clayton is situated about 17 miles southeast of downtown Raleigh.
Police are still investigating the accident.
