Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021, around 3:30 in the morning, an accident between several box trucks sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported on the westbound side of Interstate 80 near the exchange with Cherry Glenn Road just outside Vacavaille, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was taken to the hospital after three box trucks collided under unspecified conditions. Emergency responders transported one person to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the incident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.
Representatives from Caltrans took several hours to clean up debris from the scene of the accident and clear the roadway.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
