On or about Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, around 3:35 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a car sent one woman to the hospital. Police said the accident was reported at the intersection of the Jericho Turnpike and Indian Head Road in Commack, New York.
Officers said a box truck allegedly struck a red passenger vehicle that was turning from westbound Jericho Turnpike onto Indian Head Road. Paramedics freed the woman from the wreckage and transported her to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
According to Google Streetview, the intersection of Indian Head Road and the Jericho Turnpike is controlled by a stoplight, and is situated in the middle of Long Island.
Police are still investigating the accident.
