On or about Friday, October 15th, 2021, around 10:34 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a motorcycle sent a 59-year-old man to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported at the intersection of North Passaic Avenue and Harvard Street in Chatham, New Jersey.

Investigators said an as-of-yet unidentified 59-year-old man on a motorcycle was allegedly struck by a box truck at the intersection of North Passaic Avenue and Harvard Street. Officials said the motorcycle was southbound on North Passaic Avenue at the time of the collision. Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to Morristown Memorial Hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Chatham is situated about 13 miles west of downtown Newark.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
