On or about Monday, December 14th, 2020, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a box truck sent one person to the hospital in a helicopter. Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Route 2 in Flatrock, West Virginia.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a car and a box truck collided under unspecified circumstances. Paramedics airlifted one person from the scene to a nearby hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.
Photos from the scene show a car with severe front-end damage.
Law enforcement closed down much of the roadway to tend to the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation.
