On or about Tuesday, January 5th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a serious accident involving two box trucks sent one individual to the hospital. Officials from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Uxbridge Road not far from the intersection with Thorton Street in Mendon, Massachusetts.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the box truck they were in and another box truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on Uxbridge Road. Emergency responders cut one of the box truck drivers from the wreckage and rushed them to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 43 miles southwest of downtown Boston.
Authorities are still trying to establish the cause of the crash.
