On or about Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and ice falling from a box truck sent one individual to the hospital. Representatives from the area said the accident happened along Wolcott Road in Wolcott, Connecticut.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one person was injured when a large chunk of ice allegedly fell from the top of a box truck and slammed through the car’s windshield. Emergency responders transported the driver of the car to the hospital with unknown injuries. The box truck did not stay at the scene, and police are still working on tracking it down.
Wolcott Road cuts through the center of Wolcott, which is about 24 miles southwest of Hartford.
Connecticut State Police and local law enforcement are investigating the accident.
