On or about Monday, June 28th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a box truck sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Bypass 20 in Rockford, Illinois.
Officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a box truck allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer that may have been traveling extremely slow with mechanical issues. Paramedics transported the driver of the box truck to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 20 runs east and west through the center of Rockford, which is about 94 miles west of downtown Chicago.
