Details:
On or about Monday, October 19th, 2020, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a box truck seriously injured one person. MSP Troopers said that the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55 in Lincoln County, Mississippi.
Authorities have only said that one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer and a box truck collided for reasons unknown, and that at least one of the vehicles flipped off the side of the interstate after the initial collision.
Paramedics transported one individual to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Inspecting Interstate 55 on Google Maps shows a four lane interstate with a wide, grassy median dividing the north and southbound lanes of traffic, and runs directly through the center of the county. Lincoln County sits roughly 62 miles south of Jackson.
Investigators are still working to pin down exactly what may have led to the accident.
