Details:
On or about Thursday, January 27th, 2022, around 8:00 at night, a single-vehicle accident sent one individual to the hospital. Law enforcement officials said the accident was reported along 2nd Street near the intersection with College Street in Jasper, Texas.
Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the van they were riding in allegedly veered off the side of 2nd Street and slammed into the front of a home a short distance off the roadway. Paramedics transported the passenger of the van to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Police later confirmed the driver of the van was taken to jail.
