On or about Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, around 11:30 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a cyclist sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of 4th Street and Hyden Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the LPD said one as-of-yet unidentified cyclist was injured when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle as they were riding their bike alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of 4th Street. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the west side of Lubbock.
Authorities are still examining the cause of the accident.
